FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

QUESTIONS FROM CLIENTS & HIRING MANAGERS

We operate on a success only basis, meaning you are invoiced only once a successful candidate starts with you. The fee is determined by the salary of the individual joining your team. We charge a nominal percentage of their total annual gross salary.

At any given time, approximately 95% of our active clients are based within or appoint us from their UAE office. The remaining 5% are global clients, mostly from the surrounding GCC and Arabic Nations.

We are equipped to assist with positions across all of MENA, and when required, the rest of the globe.

As a generalist recruitment consultancy, we recruit for all sectors, industries and functions except for Labour/Blue Collar Workers i.e. Construction Workers, Carpenters, Plumbers, Electricians etc and Front Line Service Workers. We also do not provide for consultancy services frontline workers in the teaching and health care industries. This includes Doctors, Nurses, Dentists, Teachers and Teaching Assistants etc.

As an introductory service, we do not offer these services directly, however if this is something that you require, we can advise once a candidate has signed their offer letter.

We aim to submit profiles to you within 10 working days. It can take less and in some cases more time to find appropriate candidates and have the relevant discussions with them to ensure we have performed our due diligence. Time frames also depend on market buoyancy and candidate interest in the role as well as the specificity of your requirement. For more information on the process, please view the timeline on the For Employers page.

We offer a 12 week guarantee period and will replace a candidate in the event that they are found unsuitable or are unable to continue under your employment.

QUESTIONS FROM CANDIDATES & JOB SEEKERS

We work on behalf of companies (our clients) to find the talented individuals that they are looking for. This means that we do not actively work on behalf of candidates to find them jobs as there a simply too many candidates at any given time. Instead, we can only work with candidates who we can help place at this given moment.

If we headhunt your profile, that means we may have an opportunity suited to you and we may be in touch. For information pertaining to being found/head hunted by a recruitment consultancy or agency, be sure to read the information provided on the ‘For Candidates’ page.

We recruit for all sectors, industries and functions except for Labour/Blue Collar Workers i.e. Construction Workers, Carpenters, Plumbers, Electricians etc and Front Line Service Workers. We also do not provide consultancy services for frontline workers in the teaching and health care profession. This includes Doctors, Nurses, Dentists, Teachers and Teaching Assistants etc.

Unfortunately, our service caters to companies who are looking for seasoned professionals for full time, permanent positions. We would recommend approaching companies in your discipline directly or finding services designed specifically for young talent.

Our service caters to companies who are looking for seasoned professionals. It is rare that we are requested to find candidates with less than 2 years of relevant experience, and this experience must usually be in the country in which the opportunity is available. However, do not lose hope and read the advice on the ‘For Candidates’ page.

At any given time, approximately 95% of our active clients are based within or appoint us from their UAE office. The remaining 5% are global clients, mostly from the surrounding GCC and Arabic Nations.

Similarly, the majority of the positions that are assigned to us to fill, are within the UAE, however, we do handle positions across all of MENA. This all depends on our client requirements at any given time.

Do not pay money for a job or offer letter. This is not allowed and it is illegal in the UAE. We speak to many people who have ‘paid for a job,’ but the job is not real and they do not get their money back.

If you want to check if it is real, ask to speak to the company directly. If you need help, contact your embassy or consulate. If you know the person who took your money, contact the police.

Warning signs that your ‘recruiter’ may be lying to you:

  • If you are contacted suddenly via WhatsApp or a non registered email address (Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, Live.com, etc.) with offer letters.
  • If you have not undergone a series of interviews and your work or education experience is not properly questioned.
  • If you have not spoken to someone on the phone, on a number registered to the company that is planning on hiring you.
  • The first thing discussed is payment or requirement to pay for visas, offer letters, ‘clearance of documents’ etc

Please note that BAC will never:

  • send emails from web-based email accounts (such as Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, Live.com, etc.)
  • send offer letters or contracts via WhatsApp

BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT RECRUITMENT WEBSITES AND SCAMMERS

Beware of recruitment fraud which has increased recently.  Frauds copy BAC vacancies without our permission, including our name and logo onto scam recruitment websites with the aim of obtaining your personal information/money, or both.

Their websites state that they will send your CV to us, which is not true.  After you register they may send you a fraudulent job offer by email bearing our name, often followed by a payment request to expedite the recruitment process.

These emails will usually be sent from web-based email accounts (such as Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, etc).  We recommend that you do not register on any of these websites because they do not help you to find a job; your application will not reach BAC; Please note that we have no affiliation or connection with them whatsoever.
