HR & Admin Manager

Our client, an MNC within the MICE industry is looking for a HR & Admin Manager to join their team. Reporting functionally to the Regional HR Director and directly to the Finance & Admin Director, you are responsible as a trusted HR adviser to support the business. You will work closely with the management in driving key HR initiatives. This will include all aspects of human resources management and operations.

You will provide quality HR service including recruitment, performance management, talent succession planning, employees relations, develop and promote HR initiatives that are aligned with the goals of the business. Having a close business partnering relationship with business is pivotal in order to understand their strategies to identify the HR competencies to reshape the business and support the growth.

Job Description
• Support and develop HR function in the country within the organisation. The position shall provide a variety of services for the recruitment, selection, assignment, motivation, training and competence development of the employees, and ensure that the global HR strategy, policies, processes and tools are implemented in the responsible area. The position shall also cover general administration.

• Pro-actively support local office and line managers with advice/solutions in regards to people management such as workforce planning, re-organization, recruitment, on-boarding of new employees, training, dismissals, etc.

• Manage talent development and employees' performance

• Manage employee documentation, contracts and letters

• Ensure local personnel handbook is up to date and reflects local labour law and regulations

• Identifies training and development needs of staff in conjunction with line managers.

• Establishment of yearly training plan and coordination with internal/external parties for training deliveries.

• Responsible for implementation of HR activities as agreed in the Annual Operating Plan

• Support activities for HR processes and tools such as Performance Appraisal, Engagement Survey, job evaluation, etc.

• Ensure personnel database and other local personnel administration systems accurate and up to date

• Delivery HR monthly report for the responsible area include training days, headcount, recruitment status and any others upon request

• Ensure organisation charts are up to date in a timely manner

• Provide general administration and office support, e.g. oversee the upkeep of office equipment and machine, pantry supplies etc.

• Ensure compliance with ISO, safety & hygiene regulations.

• Any other HR related matters if required

You will be Degree qualified in HRM and/or related professional body, CIPD and demonstrate at least 5 years of experience in a managerial capacity. Relevant industry experience within MNC setting in UAE is a definite advantage that would put you in a league above the rest.

You will also possess the following knowledge and attributes:
• Meticulous, organized with the ability to communicate well with people of all demographics and cultural levels
• Deep understanding on labour law/remuneration standards in UAE
• Results oriented with “hands on” approach and influencing skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good priority setting, time management and organising skills
• Initiative and team player, able to work independently
